Job Description:
SpR A&E required in the East Midlands commencing 27 February till 1 April. Hourly rate in the region of £55-£65. Whatever your requirements, an odd shift, weekend, week or longer, our highly experienced team will provide you with lots of opportunities to widen your knowledge at different hospitals. Hospital summary
This is a modern district general hospital, providing a range of hospital services to a catchment population of 177,500 rising to approximately 250,000 during the summer, because of the holiday influx to local seaside resorts. The hospital has a total bed compliment of 640. The maternity unit has 32 ante-natal and post-natal beds and a Special Care Baby Unit which is on the same floor as the Paediatric Unit. It has 13 cots. It also has a 20 bedded private unit.
The hospital is undergoing a £12 million redevelopment programme, including a new state of the art A&E Department, a revamped Outpatients Department and two new Operating Theatres as well as a brand new £2 million breast unit.
The Hospital provides inpatient services in: A&E, Cardiology, Critical Care, Diabetes, Emergency Assessment, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, ICU/Anaesthetics, Nerve Conductions and Palliative Care. It provides services in outpatients and day care in: Cardiac Rehabilitation, Dermatology, Immunology, Nephrology, Neurology, Rheumatology and Thoracic Medicine.
Region
Access to A1 motorway and major rail links takes a little less than one hour, via Grantham or Peterborough, providing easy access to London and the North. Nearby International airports are the East Midlands and Humberside Airport, approximately 1.5 hours away.
